hi,
hope to understand you correctly!
the duplicated MC's exist in the timeline where they were duplicated.
They started like normal instances from frame 1 with no Variables content.
That's the reason why you have to address the duplicated MC with a new
instance name and an integer for the position of the layer in reason of
overlapping.
If you want to kill the duplicated MC's just remove them with their new name
