FLASH: MC in a window

Hi all:

Question:

In Director one can create a movie in a window.

I would like to create a similar situation in Flash.

Is there a way to create a mc that is a fixed size

or do i need to mask?.

Do I need to import a .swf. with tell target.

any suggestions or tutorials would be great.
