Use an HTML page with a detection scheme that is set for Flash 3 and

make sure the code base is set for Flash 3.

You can create your HTML pages many ways but Publish is the most

convient.

I have two basic Publish templates set for Flash 3 that can be

downloaded.

Flash Basic Templates


The following are basic Flash templates for Publish that do not use any

JavaScript. All 4 files have a codebase set to update the MS IE Windows

ActiveX control if the user does not have the minimum browser specified

(two are Flash 3 and two are Flash 4). 


There are versions with Text and URLs written to the HTML files and

versions with no Text or URLs written to the HTML file. Text and URLs on

the Flash main timeline if enabled are written to the HTML file. If text

appears in multiple keyframes it will be written multiple times.
