Subject: FLASH: why doesn't my movie fill the screen in NN3 on the PC?
From: Carla Otto

Hi all,

Okay, I know that to have my movie completely fill the screen at any
resolution, I just put these tags like this... <OBJECT> and <EMBED> with
height and width set to 100%:

<snip>
<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab#version=4,0,0,0"
ID=therock WIDTH=100% HEIGHT=100%>
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="therock.swf"> <PARAM NAME=loop VALUE=false>
<PARAM NAME=menu VALUE=false> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM
NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#000000> <EMBED
src="therock.swf" loop=false menu=false quality=high wmode=transparent
bgcolor=#000000 WIDTH=100% HEIGHT=100%
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Vers
ion=ShockwaveFlash"></EMBED>
</OBJECT>
</snip>

My Mac looks great...BUT, when I look at it on my PC, the thing is all
confused. It *doesn't* fill the window in NN 3 on the PC. It looks pretty
lame, because my movie plays in the center of the screen surrounded by a
black border about 3 inches thick.

AAARGH! Is this more evidence of the silly browser wars? I can't believe
that I have to go back and make my movie objects bigger.

Help, anyone?

Thanks,
Carla
