FLASH: Sound Question - Stop Sound

I would like to have a looping background track for my movie. I have a

perfect loop already, but if I use the default event sync the music loops no

matter what, leaving no obvious way of enabling a 'sound off' button. On the

other hand with stream sync the sound stops as soon as my movie gets to the

first stop action, and I'm using a lot of stops for hierarchial menus. I'm

sure there is an easier way to do this, I am just brainlocked right now. Any

help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
