FLASH: Button Problem solved ....

I recently posted an article pertaining to problems programming an action to

a button. Well I finally figured it out. For those of you that may have this

problem, I will explain what I did to solve it:


My problem was that I kept trying to assign an action within the button's

"hit" frame itself. This doesn't work. It seems that the button frames are

only to design the way the that the button will appear upon certain mouse

movements. The key is to click the button's properties once the button has

been placed into the actual scene of the movie. Now, if you have a motion

tween or shape tween for this button to perfom the cool features that Flash

allows, then you can highlight the frames where the actions will take place,

then choose the button's properties (right click) and "Walla" you can set

your get url and other actions from there.
