Hi, Marc:
http://www.flashbible.com/Members/ActionScript/FlyingFonts/FlyingText.htm
John C's site above has a downloadable FLA that could be analyzed to extract
the "speed" calculations, I imagine. The movie is actually showing text
following the cursor, but there are some speed issues included. Then you'd
have to make an invisible MC to track the mouse position and Tell Target the
bouncing ball MC. Wouldn't be really easy, but sounds possible....I would
start with the FlyingText movie to see what variables to track and how to
calculate the relative position of the cursor (in a loop)
