My feeling is that internet development companies (the real ones- not the

millions of 2-10 person

shops) don't give a damm about certified webmaster status. If anything matters

its the resume and

portfolio.

I'm looking at some of the courses and I noticed the Unix security course is

only two days long.

Nuff said.

Sorry for the OT but I know some people are looking for training

Just wanted to let anyone in the Illinois area know that we are about to

offer Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks training. First classes to run will

be Flash on Nov 2-3 and again on the 4-5. We will be using the Macromedia

training materials but will be adding insights as well. Plan is to have the

other courses start after the first of the year. I'll be teaching the

initial courses with hopes that we will be pulling in Russ Unger for future

courses. If anyone is interested in training in this area, give me a call at

The classes will be held at Knowledge Alliance in Oak Brook which is in the

western suburbs of Chicago. We plan to have Advanced Flash, Generator,

Attain and possibly Director classes in the future. The center will also be

doing a Certified Internet Webmaster program

4 levels of certification. The goal is to have certiification like MCSE or

CNE for Webmasters. I'd be curious to know what anyone thinks of the idea.
