Subject: | FLASH: ~~Shaking~~ a background |

I want to create the impression of the ground shaking at the footfall of
a large animal.
I started to create an MC of a landscape. I grouped the trees and earth
into one symbol and then moved the symbol in sequential keyframes off a
few pixels from each other
[ie right 2 px then up 2 px, then down 2 px and then left 2 px., etc. ]
The problem I can see is that already it is going to create to large a
file/processing time.
This is akin to the problem I encountered trying to create realistic wave
motions in my first Flash attempt months ago.
Anyone have any ideas how to do this without creating a huge processing
drag on Flash and slowing the frame rates to a crawl?
