I did it by putting a tiny swf in the text only page
that has a load movie in a keyframe. Browsers w/o
Flash stay at the text page, browsers w/flash go to
the flash page. I put a link on the flash page (in the
html) so if people w/o flash somehow end up there they
can go to the text only page.
