FLASH: sound won't always import

I'm using Flash 4 on my Mac Performa 6200. Sometimes it will import audio

(.aiff) just fine. Most of the time, though, it doesn't recognize any .aiff

files. And when it does recogize them, it seems to be at totally random

times. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is my system too old (Mac OS

7.5.1)? I've allocated the program plenty of memory.
