FLASH: Looping/stopping certain frames... Please help!

I've almost finished my first movie that I'll actually be using on my site

and it's perfect except that I need to figure out how to stop certain layers

from looping and making other layers continue to loop...


Do I have to create them as separate movies to do this? I tried using

actionscript to do this, but obviously I'm doing something wrong because

everytime I tell one layer to stop, they all stop and vice versa with

getting other layers to loop.


I'm using Flash 5 BTW. Please help!
