Subject: RE: FLASH: activate movie clip rollovers?

You'll have to create a button to trigger the rollover event. You can
either:

1. Embed the movie clips into the OVER state (frame 2) of a button, which
will play the clips automatically on rollover, or

2. Create a button and use Tell Target to tell the MC to play, ie:

On (Roll Over)
Tell Target ("YourMCname")
Play
End Tell Target\
End On

My objective:
to make animated interface buttons that play once for a few seconds when
you rollover them. I would also like additional text to appear as a
rollover off to the side of the button.

So far I've successfully made movie clips of each.

My problem:
I don't know how to include them in the larger timeline and get the
rollovers to work as planned.

So far, I'm able to drag the movie clip from the library to a layer, but
since the rollover/animation is not activated, it does not play in the
larger timeline.
