I suppose you could have some sort of serial number generator,
and an actionscript 'serial number checker' that checks the
number for some properties to make sure it's valid. Most
serial number generators do something with the user's name to
convert it to a numerical string, so if the user enters her name
and serial number, and that number matches the generated
number for their name, then they get access.

You could do it without the user name altogether by relying only
on serial numbers that have a specific property (like credit card
numbers that can be checked with a simple mathematic formula)

These are both crackable methods...but I guess any method is
crackable. The SWF is by no means invulnerable to
reverse-engineering, but it should be solid enough for your
purposes unless you're selling plutonium or something. ;)
