Hi Justin...


Targeting an upper movie (parent) requires you to target "_level0" then 

what ever frame or object after that.


Begin Tell Target (_level0)

     Goto to and Play (frame)

End Target


Setting a parent variable works like this:


Set Variable: "_level0:variable" = 1
