Sorry, I'm not sure how. From what I can understand of the description, it
seems like a browser difference. Helen seems to assert it's within the
control, independent of a browsers, but I can't readily test that, and even
if true would require a new rev and re-distribution of a new control -- a
multi-month process.

If you're on deadline, then you might consider reworking the project so it
does what you want in the range of desired browsers. I know that's not a
fun continuance to consider, but it does seem the most sustainable path,
sorry.

Bottom line: The browsers are pretty standardized in how they let
JavaScript control other frames or windows from HTML, but they _definitely_
vary in how they let objects-in-the-page control other frames or windows,
in a variety of different ways.
