Try the following:
1 - open up your mixer palette
2- set your colour to white (or anything else) and set the alpha to 0%
3 - apply this new colour to a block on the page
4 - select your dropper tool from the menu
5 - click on the new block and you will see the transparent colour has been
added to your swatches library
hope that helps

Subject: FLASH: Fade to transparent gradient - Flash 5?
I've looked at the manual, but can't find on the palettes a quick way to
create a fade to transparent gradient. The book says you can't add a
transparent gradient fill to an existing object, but only to a new one.
But even in creating initial objects, I'm having trouble finding a
"none" color on the swatches/gradient creating palette.
What's the easiest method of setting up these gradients?
Jeff
