Jorge,
It can be done quite simply in Flash - there's a demo or two included with
Flash to help you. I imagine many of the sites that always get mentioned -
www.moock.org etc. also have demos of this kind of thing.
In the instance you cite, however, Macromedia are using DHTML - basically
javascript - to do it. The last few versions of html support 'layers' that
can be moved around, made invisible, and all sorts of other stuff. Most
powerfully, layers can be positioned on top of other layers. What happens
is: when you roll over eg. Products, the javascript tells the Products menu
layer to become visible and active. The same functionality can be put into
that layer. You can create a whole sub menu tree, if that's your thing...
Note that I'm not a coder myself, so I'm just explaining it as I kind of
understand it. I haven't yet tried it in Dreamweaver, but it wouldn't
surprise me if it was possible to build something workable through the
behaviours menu. It won't be as tight as if you get a techie to do it
though.
