Well, the Macromedia Flash Player is designed for websized loads... a
two-meg SWF is certainly large, but other projects have been larger.

For "stalling", a lot may depend on how the file was set up... a SWF
generally streams in, and you can examine the smoothness through the
Bandwidth Profiler.
