Here is your solution:


I would do it in Flash:


On your first frame of your movie put the following:


Set Variable: "text1" = "my text 1 option"

Set Variable: "text2" = "my text 2 option"

Set Variable: "text3" = "my text 3 option"

Set Variable: "text4" = "my text 4 option"

Set Variable: "textbox" = Eval("text" & ( Random ( 4 ) +1))



Then on your main stage make a textfield with an variable name of 'textbox'


play the movie

I have an OT question, and hope that someone could help me with this.


I am designing a website where I need to randomly display some text.

I guess this could be done using JavaScript - but I do not write/know

JavaScript.

Can anyone point me to a ready script or a step by step instruction on how

to do this.

Where does one keep the text - in a text file or in a database?

I have no idea how to do this & do hope that I would get help from this list

as I have always found help here.


I have another request today.

When a user types in the URL, I want the homepage to be launched in that

browser window & Flash intro to pop up in another window with no menus and

flash animation to fill window.

Can someone help me here - if this requires JavaScript - I do not know

JavaScript.

I would appreciate if someone could point me to a ready script or send me a

script, please, please.
