Subject: FLASH: help my mc go to point, please;-)...

hi there...
I've been working on a "simple" (I thought it was, and I still do, but;-)
actionscript program, and I can't seem to achieve it....
Here's what I'm trying to do:
I would like a MC to go to a certain point on the scene, where the user
clicks...and I would like the user to see the displacement... What I did was
:
getting the initial position of the MC.
retrieving the final ("clicked") position using a "dragged" invisble MC,
locked on mouse...
Then substracting the old one to the new one....then...

there comes the problem I guess...

Setting a new property for the MC, adding a percentage of the difference to
the initial position, until difference is zero...something like it....
I don't know, it seems I'm pretty much tired today or something...but I
can't make it right:-)...So, I was wondering, does somebody know somewhere I
could find a tutorial or a source file to help me figure this out? I would
really appreciate...I looked at flashkit, didn't find (this site became
huge;-)....
thanks anyway,
J.
