FLASH: weird error message...anyone?

We've got a site with about 50 or so Shockwave and Flash surveys, quizzes,

animations, etc.  Everything, for the most part, is going along just fine...


however, during some prelim testing at a school yesterday (Imacs, t1

connection, SW8/Flash5 plugin, don't know the browser, unfortunately - no

one supplied that), we got a strange error message that we can't seem to

reproduce on other Imacs, on PC's, or anywhere.  That message was:


"FW-1 at Shadow. Unknown WWW server"


The message occurs when a Flash movie issues a GetURL command, which routes

the user to a different ASP page, that sends some information via ADO to a

SQL database saying, "User has completed this activity."  This ASP page then

redirects the user automatically to another page, transparently.


Because I wasn't there, I don't know whether or not the error occurred

during the Flash GetURL post, or after the data was written to the database,

and has to do with the redirect call in ASP.  Let's assume for now it's in

Flash - has anyone seen anything like this before?


My hunch is that this is a firewall issue at the school.  But the weird

thing about that is - we're using the same redirect script on about 50 other

pages, without a problem...and we're using the same type of GetURL to a data

page, which routes to a third page, on about 50 other pages as well.

Meaning my hair is quickly graying as to why this error would only be

occurring in these two particular instances...whether it's a firewall issue,

or a Flash issue.


Any help appreciated.  Off list posts also appreciated - just subscribed to
