I'm sorry you've decided to hurt yourself that way, just based on the
all-too-regular online reaction to anything new.
Seriously, I'm bummed by posts like this... you'll see ten complaints for
every positive post. It's like the weather, where ten people complain for
every one who bothers to say it's a gorgeous day. That's not enough reason
to stay locked up in your room.
The original post was from someone who doesn't script, and wants to be a
scripting expert, and didn't go out to read any other scripting reference.
They didn't say "How can I do this?" -- they said "I tried this and it
didn't work". That's a profound difference in reaching out to the world!
Look past the appearance of the complaint, and see what they're complaining
about.
... or don't. If this is how you make decisions, then really, maybe the
world is better off if your work doesn't get as much exposure.
