FLASH: targeting loaded movies

hello,


is there a way to target movieclips from a loaded movie?


when I load a .swf into a movieclip, it seems to rename the loaded 

movieclips as instancex is there a way to rename this seemingly arbritary 

number. I would like to change or affect the properites of different 

movieclips from the loaded .swf. it would be like targeting a child object 

(mc._child).
