The examples on the website show how to layer normal HTML in IE4/Win32 with
the current Flash ActiveX Control, but as noted in general DHTML
conversations, browsers don't support the layering of *active* content much
yet.

Rephrased: Flash can layer with text easily in IE4/Win32, but the Netscape
plugins, and other types of content in plugins or controls, don't reliably
offer this same ability. DHTML layering is generally best suited for
simple, static HTML content. The Flash ActiveX Control is sort of a pioneer
here.

(btw, for the "embed QT" request, you can always send to the
wish-flashatmacromedia [dot] com too. This has the advantages of reaching all the
product planners (volume on FLASHER-L is too high for all planners to read
all messages), and also the advantage of adding your request into the
database for tabulation later.
(One thing that can help increase the weight of any request is to
provide the context for it. In this case, describing a project where you
actually need to put QT within Flash, and describing why the usual
alternative of embedding both in HTML would not suffice, would likely be a
stronger persuader than just the bare request for that change itself,
thanks... would help to edge it over other requests such as varietal
players or more interactivity or whatever.)
