Subject: FLASH: Button Boggle (Bug?)
From: Len Harrison

Strange button behavior:
I have a multiple scene movie which uses many instances of a simulated radio
button. Testing scene in Scene 1 produces the expected behavior. Testing
Scene in Scene 2 does not. The buttons don't work properly. BUT, Test Movie
and they do.

When using Test Scene, the buttons send the movie to the last frame in the
scene instead of the labeled target frame (which, of course, is also in the
same scene). This occurs in the rollover event (no opportunity to test the
release event because rollover drives the movie to the last frame in the
scene). A rollout event which is supposed to send the movie back to the
first frame is ignored. The rollover behavior can be corrected by changing
the goto target from a label to "next frame" but the rollout event still
will not work (though I suspect it might if I changed it to "previous
frame").

Note this only occurs under "Test Scene". If I use "Test Movie" everything
works properly. The .sfa file also behaves as designed. And the same buttons
doing the same things work fine under "Test Scene" in the first scene of the
movie.

Any clues? Known bug? Work around? This piece is beginning to get fairly
long and it makes sense to split it into different scenes. Kind of a drag to
wait through the first part of it to get to the chunk I'm working on though.
Suppose I could kludge a jump for testing purposes but I'd prefer not to.
