FLASH: A good example of the importance of checking MIME

For those of you that think this list sometimes takes it to far with

that mime check on the server.

I was browsing Macromedia France site and decided to check the Flashed

site of the week, in this case a site for the 13th International

Francophone Film Festival. After reading the nice blurb on Macromedia's

site I followed the first link with Netscape

( http://www.fiff.namur.be/1998/jumelage/accueil.html )

only to find that they have a default setting of text/html for the swf

mime type.
