FLASH: ADMIN: Double & triple posts...what to do?

Hiya Folks,


It appears a few people on the list have been receiving double and possibly

triple copies of posts to the list. I've been trying to figure out why this

is happening, but none of the usual reasons seem to be the cause. The

normal culprits are:


- you have two different email addresses subscribed to the list server

- a faulty email system is receiving messages and either sending them

straight back to the mailing list address or sending them directly to the

original poster of the message


The recent spate of double posts is very bizzarre as it doesn't seem to fit

either of these criteria. I've checked the email logs for the last couple

of days and the folks on the list who have been getting double (or more)

posts don't seem (according to the logs at this end) to be receiving any

more messages than anyone else. Perhaps they're the only ones experiencing

this.


To conserve bandwidth and to save extended discussion of this problem, can

I ask everyone who has a problem to email

helpchinwag [dot] com

 and I will deal

with the emails as quickly as possible, typically it's only taking a couple

of hours to respond to them at the moment. Please don't email the whole

list as your emails reach over 1,500 people...that adds up to a lot of hard

drive space and a lot of bandwidth.


...and another small plea...both

flasherchinwag [dot] com

 and

flashershocker [dot] com

 are now working properly. This means if you send an

email to both addresses it will reach the mailing list twice. Please use only:

flasherchinwag [dot] com

OR

flashershocker [dot] com
