that would work great if I knew the language but since I am only just
learning it, it may be a while before I can use expert mode... thanks for
the input anyway.

Just turn on expert mode... that way you don't have to mess with
expressions, etc at all.

I see that I can assign my own short cut keys... ok, that works, but I
notice that Flash4 set isn't among the preset. is this an over site, or by
design?

also when flash 6 comes along can you make a preference to set "default to
expression" for the scripting window. I use expressions far more then string
literals.
