As a side note to this thread, does the action script compiler on the Flash
4 Magic CD (the one that converts scripts from any text editor) work with
Flash 5. If so, this has got to be the quickest solution, You'd be able to
paste all your code into Notepad (or similar) and make use of it's global
search and replace.
If this doesn't work with F5, who's going to write one and when?

You can do a global replace on all code in a frame by opening the Frame
Actions box, clicking the arrow at upper right, and choosing Replace
(Replace All is an option). I don't know of a way (yet?) to do a global
replace on the whole movie, but will yell if I find one.
