Subject: FLASH: Variables in buttons.

Hi all, just wondering if I can have a little bit of help with the
following?

I'm making a flash questionnaire where there are multiple answers for each
question, it's the kind of questionnaire where you total the number of A,B,C
or D answers and it gives you a particular profile, for this I need to know
how many A's etc.

I've done this simply by setting a=1 in the first question and then a=a+1 in
the subsequent question and yes, this works fine. However, if the person
doing the test changes there mind about there answer and chooses a different
letter I'm left with the incorrect value for their first answer when I total
them at the end.

Does anyone have an idea has to how I can correct this, is there a way of
detecting the hit state of a button perhaps, if hit state is true then a=1?

All help is greatly appreciated...
