FLASH: F5 GUI [ complaints! dont bother to read ]

ok. I know it takes some time to get used to it ..


and there are so many cool features of F5


also in the GUI

-  being able now  to read my scripts now - great !

-  being able to paste scripts anywhere and even to import them - like x-mas !

-  access to all my stuff on-stage with the movie.explorer - cool !

    ( would be cool if I had the option to see framelabels too -

    even though -of course- I always know by heart which actions are 

on,lets say, frame#23)

-  EditInPlace with double click - hey,that's not bad ! (and MacUsers 

weren't aware

    of those cool ctrl/click features MM build in the Macversions anyway)

-  no more comment labels - who cares ? you can put any novel-sized 

comments in your

    scripts now just so easy ( would be even more easy if there was this great

    comment/uncomment button they build into Director )

-  editable anchors - no more Corel,Illustrator,Freehand,Firethings ! I'm 

feeling kind of FREEDOM now ...

-  ++ guides for us graphic folks !  I 'll soon get used to go twice to 

select from the 'view' menue whenever I

    want to turn grids snap on and grids view off and grids snap off and 

grids view on

    ( though, sometimes, buttons are nice too )

-  changing fills and stroke just by selection and choosing new attributs

     - hmmm - have to get used to it a little bit more ( always hated 

freehand .. ;-))

    but seems like a valuable time saver to me, too


but ...

I spent more then 20 minutes (!!!!!) now just

to change the fill of a shape :

-lock fill doesn't work right anymore ...(create a custom shape, transform 

this an that, try changing fills-

  similar buggy feature like F4 trying to fill with the same gradient twice 

- spread of fill equals eternity)

-to create a new gradient, I have to mess with 3 [+ a half ] (!) different 

'panels' now...

  ok...I'll learn ... but, in case I'll someday manage to create THE FILL I 

WANTED - how to apply it ?

  lockFill : doesnt work - selectshape&&changegradient :  no way, if you 

want to keep it spread same as its was


sorry .. I'll go back and learn al little bit more ...

will tell you when I got my gradient fill ..


++ still not enough reasons to buy lickidmotion or whats it called again
