Yep, when you make the gradient in the colors window just make both sides
the same color and set the alpha on one side to 0%. Just make sure both
colors are the same, sometimes you'll get a weird halo when you set a
gradient to go to transparent if the color set to 0% alpha is different than
the one set to 100%.
