Subject: FLASH: Flash OT: Cleaning up jpgs

Flashers ....

This might sound strange, but I've gotten my 2nd book,
Flash Web Design by Hillman Curtis. In the first few
chapters, he talks about cleaning up the layers inside
a jpg image file to help decrease the time it takes to
reload it when you have it in in multiple frames (like
a motion tween).

Now keep in mind, I'm orginally a programmer
(GW-BASIC, Pascal and Turbo Pascal in high school, and
ADA in the Marine Corps) and have done computer
repair, network admin and engineering stuff since I
went to school for it in 1992. What in the blue
blazes is he talking about ??? Layers in a jpg file ?
Am I totally lost, or is this a graphic designer
thing ?

Thanks in advance .....

Kris Sends .....
