Have you tried to export the file with quicktime video on the mac? I sent
this before but I never saw it show up on the list. One thing I notice is
that on the pc Quicktime export is very bad and not of any great quality.
Macromedia has a pattern of creating tools that are platform dependent.
Anyway with the mac version you have to versions of quicktime tools to work
with. We've done CD-Rom presentations that require full screen video. The
Quicktime on the mac was the only solution that was cheap and viable.

Hope this helps.

thank you all for the tips on getting flash into video, very helpful!

funny, how i have access to all sorts of tools, mac to pc, avid to after
effects, director to premier... not one of these wants to import a .swf file
and output a qt or avi with my mc's and sound intact.

I imported the .swf into director
exported a pict sequence (it dropped a few frames)
imported it back into director
put it back on the timeline with the alt + select key
reassembled sound
exported it as an .avi so it would accept a slower frame rate
and finially, used avid in our media lab to import the .avi and export to
beta sp and vhs...

all this to get on the animation demo reel at school... what a pain.

????Isn't there a program that will capture anything playing full-screen????
anyone know?

moral of the story, if you ever want your .swf on tape, animate frame by
frame and do the sound somewhere else.
