I like the 'ASP Bible' by Eric Smith. It's pretty easy to follow along with.

The Wrox Press books are well-known in the ASP field, but I don't think they're as easy to follow. Anyway, I'd also get 'Active Server Pages 2.0' and 'ASP Databases.' The second one is really good for helping you understand database issues and techniques better - essential for a good understanding of ASP and ADO, of course. Also, it's very good for explaining how to set up and work with Personal Web Server (a 'dummy Web server' you can install on your PC to run as a test environment when developing and debugging ASP projects).
