I only have the non-saving demo version of ILL9 myself and so can't help
directly, sorry. But there are two things you can do:

1) First do the one-or-all-files test... check whether even simple test
files fail to export now too. This can help distinguish between
content-related differences and configuration-related differences.

2) Contact the company Adobe uses for customer support, or use the
User-to-User web board Adobe hosts. These people work with Illustrator more
regularly and would have the best info on export problems.

(Macromedia created a free FlashWriter Export Plugin for Illustrator 8, but
I don't believe Adobe tested against this when creating their new
version... I'm not sure whether they support existing plugins, sorry.)
