Thanks JGL. It looks like it's just Word Perfect -- I just tried with
Word and I don't have a cut-and-paste problem at all (and I'm sure
you're right about the others). Rats. Dunno why I always gravitate to
the non-MS solution -- maddeningly, it always seems to be the wrong one
in the end. Glad to know it's not a problem with most apps anyway.
