There are several legal people on the list so they can advise you in that
respect - I expect a 'cease and desist' letter might be an idea.

 

If you search Twitter against Beverley's name, the coverage is
overwhelmingly positive but that's small consolation. Have you tried
reporting to Twitter via https://support.twitter.com/forms/abusiveuser.

Does anyone have any advice please for this situation? 

 

It's basically someone with bad intentions on Twitter posting a lot of
abusive messages and lies. 

In a bit more detail, @eadead (Kevin, my partner) used to be in band called
Comsat Angels and has also worked with Beverly Knight. Someone who was once
a temporary member of Comsat Angels and who is the 'hater' here, has set up
various accounts on Twitter, posting as the official Comsat Angels. As his
posts were abusive and he had no permission from the 'real' band, Kevin and
other members tried to stop him via reporting to Twitter, but with no
success.

This person has now set up another account - details posted below - from
which he is being abusive to @BeverleyKnight, lying about @eadead and
elsewhere tweeting more abuse to @BeverlyKnight supposedly quoted from
@eadead.

 

Anyway, slightly complicated, but basically it's obviously hurtful and
upsetting, not to say possibly illegal.

 

Does anyone have any advice please, or good contacts at Twitter. Prosecution
might be possible I guess, but other ideas welcome.

Subject: NUTTER gone mad - what should i do ?

 

Anybody got any clues what i should do here ?
Any routes in or channels you've heard of to go through - the last attempt
got nowhere
This is getting a bit horrible
I got tipped off about this new string of abuse and fantasy last night by
Beverley's manager
Beverley Knight is very upset about him

This is getting horrible and it seems double crap that he's using my band
name and artwork
