Hiya Mark, Ah, bless ya fella. I can't even remember when I started using 'Toodle Pip', but I get asked about it so much, especially by American friends, that I had to put a page up on my personal blog explaining it<http://www.toodlepip.co.uk/about#toodlepip> . We *try* to write a fresh intro and sign-off for every newsletter than we send out, but it's certainly time-consuming. Can't remember who said it, but the more personal, the better. I haven't tested for a while, but there's definitely some clickthrough from email signatures - as long as they're not too long - as a list admin, I have a big beef with massive signatures. Although, admittedly, I sometimes break my own rules! The brand police often jump on this, but it was noticeable during the Facebook Marketing conference we ran earlier this year, how many of those same brand police were putting together much more human 'tone of voice' guidelines for social media, so hopefully email would be included in this.
