Oh yes! This is a fun one. It all depends on what they're seeing, browsers, systems etc. Ideally you need a screen grab / print screen to get a better idea.

First thing to rule out is "are they seeing garbled squares"? This has happened to us when creating Chinese sites for US clients, because the client doesn't actually have international languages set-up on their computers, so there are no fonts installed to display the text.

There are other possible reasons, including font replacement issues, but rule out the system problem first.
