[uk-netmarketing] European Cookie Law - Big Debate - we need a solution for all

OK - so how about a meet-up?

I've been thinking about this and I can definitely get something built which works for sites, and potentially something we can all share, but it would be helpful to explore perhaps some of the detail. For instance:
- What will work / fail if cookies are not accepted on your average site (CMS / PHP)?
- What is the situation with analytics?
- What is the situation with additional code (for example conversion tracking or retargeting)?
- What is the situation if you host AdSense?

For what it's worth, yes, I do think it's a dumb law, about as well thought out as your average Sepp Blatter comment about racism and women in football... but, that's enough moaning... we now have to deal with it - but I, for one, am keen to explore exactly what is needed to be done and to find the best possible legally sound solution to meeting the minimum criteria.

Thoughts?

Would you discriminate against parents with children, simply if the numbers looked low. What about really ugly buggies – maybe ban tartan ones?

One company a few years back decided to stop supporting various Mac browsers at 5%. Problem was they drove 15% of bottom line.
