uk-netmarketing Archive (2011-2015)

Hi All,

I know we've discussed these before but I wanted your top 3-5 recommendations for competitive analysis tools you find really useful.

We're interested in general market share/comparison/search behaviour tools but also anything that could be useful for more vertical activities.

So - I have things like Alexa, Compete, Google trends, Hitwise etc. - any decent free or reasonably priced tools that would help us look at effectively at share of search/share of traffic/share of market?

On another note, to share with you - I found this excellent 'Google for Plagiarisers' tool - which hunts for 'copies' of your site or content that have been made.  Very handy and kept our Lawyers busy this week, lol:

Cheers Chris - I enjoyed it loads, although I'm not sure I'm allowed to say that since we organised it.

The speakers were ace, including UKNM regular Craig Sullivan - thanks Craig - who managed to cram in so much material into 20ish minutes, that a drink was needed just to recover! MVT testing of call centres? He's the guy really living up to his Twitter handle @OptimiseOrDie

If I get a chance I'm going to pull together all the references from all the presentations and pop into a mahoosive reading list which I'll put up on the blog.

Hopefully we'll be doing it again soon...so many people there wasn't time to fit in.
