Dear All I have a conundrum that I cannot workout, so I thought I would come to the fountain of all credible knowledge! I have a client that has been using website for over 5 years lets call it say www.theeatery.co.uk, it has been been reviewed on various sites such as Twitter, Open Table, Trip Advisor and by various food related critic's websites. All of these reviews refer to www.theeatery.co.uk and The Eatery. Google has also indexed the site over the years and rank is good. The client now wishes to change his domain name and website to www.theeaterylondon.co.uk - What are the SEO pitfalls to this and what is the best way to manage this move and to maximise retention or transfer, if possible, of the rankings and relevance of reviews? Suggestions have been:- Run both sites in parallel (what a PITA!) Set up 301 redirects per page Contact review sites to change their reference to the new site www.theeaterylondon.co.uk Don't do it. Any guidance or points to relevant papers would be very much appreciated. Best regards Andy Connor -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
