We have used Smart Debit for direct debit setup (through the API). In terms of cards, we recommend integrating SagePay which is very secure and reliable. I am not aware of any payment gateway dedicated for non-profit in the UK (there are some in the USA)… I have come across http://www.charityclear.com/ who seems to be very ethical but actually uses the http://www.cardstream.com/ backend, so nothing specific for non-profit.”

Hi

Can anyone recommend a reliable payment gateway for a non profit? We need it to set up direct debits and integrate with our site for taking card donations.  Good security is key – we have had problems with someone testing card details through our site recently and our current gateway has not been able to help us. We’ve had to take down our donations page and replace it with a justgiving widget while we look at a better solution.
