Hi Mark,

We have worked with several clients setting up newco ecommerce websites and,
whilst there are always a few technical delays, SEO time lags, and bugs to
iron out, the major delays are in gaining the merchant services account for
ecommerce payments. Some of the merchant services companies can be very hard
to get hold of, delay processing online applications and take weeks to
respond with varying levels of expertise to the responses. The Paypal route
is quicker and easier but more expensive.

That's just to give you a heads up on our experience. I hope yours is
seamless!

Good luck

Kind regards

Brenda

site

Make sure you have FAcebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube profiles set up and
start populating them with content - we work with male fashion here and do
Facebook/Instagram competitions for them amongst other media buying, but
even without a website , make sure you have these.

It's also worth getting hold of Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr, Seene and
Everlapse so no-one else can take your name, even though you might not use
them right away.

We've worked with clients the last couple of years who don't have a website
and just use the social platforms to get their products over so it can work,
and ecommerce and events can all be handled in them. All those fans and
followers you gain will aid your SEO with the links you can get them to
share once the website is live.

Any help needed, just shout.

I am in the process of setting up a newco with a partner to launch an
e-commerce site into a niche of the male online fashion market.

The actual e-commerce site wont be ready for 6-8 weeks minimum. We will
initially be soft-launching with a bootstrap business plan.

Pre-launch what would UKNMers recommend we put in place/prepare so that our
SEO/SEM is at least progressing whilst we work towards the launch date?
Bearing in mind budget is limited.

Cheers
