[uk-netmarketing] Ebay question / recommendation

Hi,

Indeed there is always that kind of alternative. They could even set up there own niche auction website (or marketplace) and then promote that as a place to go to get hold of these kinds of one-off items.

The main differences we find, with our clients, is that eBay is great if you don't have a decent email marketing list or means of pushing yourself forward as the place to go for this sort of thing (whatever that "thing" is). However if you have a list of buyers that you already deal with, and and decent amount of stock to sell, then setting up your market place works really well. You gain control of your branding, PR and marketing messages as well as being able to keep a lid on the variable costs that dealing with eBay can entail.

Regards,

- Alan

For example, one of the first questions will be how the heck she convinces Ebay that she’s in England, not France! And whether there’s a way of squirting Shopify content direct to Ebay. Etc etc.
