yep, this is certainly great stuff which means people can spend more time
looking at all the content we as an industry are producing. Rather than
"surfing", people can now spend time actually reading content without the
worry of racking up a huge phone bill.

Anyone use Localtel/Screaming.net for their ISP?

Anyone get the mailer yesterday indicating the switch to "Free 24"?

If not, the details are: 15pounds/month for unmetered 7-by-24 dialup to the
web (i.e. no local phone call charges). Effective immediately.

Last summer I bet someone a huge amount of money that the UK ISP market
would move towards un-metered access to the web by the end of 2Q-2000. If
only I could remember with whom I placed the bet!!!

Let's hear it for World Online (WOLNF) for bringing this to market ahead of
the 'big boys'.
