Hello I am new to this chatlist, but want to comment on the whole area of

Internet Marketing.  Search engine submissions (particularly when optimised

and

manually submitted) are aimed at driving additional traffic to a site.  But

why

limit yourself to just search engine submissions when they is a whole raft

of

Internet Marketing activities that can be carried out.  Its a bit like an

off

line marketer saying I am going to do marketing, but I will only use

advertising

and ignore the rest of the marketing mix.  Trying to convince people that

they

need to look beyond search engines is really hard - is it me or is anybody

else

having problems with this?

(PS I've not even mentioned the cowboys in this industry who use mass

submission

tools and claim that they have then "optimised your search results")

The key to search engine submissions is that you receive advice on how best

to

optimize you web page, how well your competitors perform in search engine

results, where you should position yourself (category wise) within search
