Actually that was the original plan for the old boo. Brands were listed on
the site, and on being ordered were shipped from the factory to a
centralised warehouse where they would be separated into complete orders and
dispatched.
Downside of this was that no brands wanted or were able to do it. They much
preferred the old world solution (shop orders �20,000 of stock, pays for it
within 30 days and tries to sell it at a massive markup).
However, I would insist that the old boo's model is far far better than the
current one (after all one interface, one shipping fee, one box and one
delivery is better than one per a brand). And it wouldn't surprise me if two
or three years down the line someone is doing it.
